Dr. Nigel Priestly Speaks at Tobolski Watkins on the 2011 Christchurch Earthquakes
Nigel Priestly, member of the Board of Directors at Tobolski Watkins Engineering, spoke to an elite group of engineers representing many local structural engineering firms, including Fyfe Co., Kleinfelder, Simon Wong Engineering, T.Y. Lin, KPFF and engineers from the City of San Diego.
Dr. Priestly, a New Zealand resident affected by the earthquakes, first discussed the damage suffered from the magnitude-6.3 February 22nd, 2011 Christchurch Earthquake. The earthquake overview was followed by a techical discussion on displacement based earthquake engineering.
