Earthquake Reconnaissance
An essential part of earthquake engineering is reviewing, in detail, the response of soils, structures and nonstructural systems to actual seismic events. Tobolski Watkins Engineering believes strongly in participating in post- earthquake reconnaissance missions as a means to enhance to seismic design and construction practices used throughout the world.
Members of Tobolski Watkins have actively participated in a number of post-earthquake reconnaissance activities and will continue to be active in this arena. So much can be learned by observing the true response of structures and systems in an attempt to protect populations worldwide. It is our duty as engineers to protect the public from these catastrophic events and our continued drive to learn and enhance design requirements is a key to this goal.
