Cooling Towers and Fans
Systems with large rotating components are especially susceptible to earthquake induced failures. These systems can potentially be used in a large range of configurations including base mounted, wall mounted and ceiling suspended. The certification of cooling towers and fans can often require a significant amount of testing to adequately capture all variations.
Tobolski Watkins performed the complete IBC and OSHPD certification for Evapco. This project included testing both rigid mounted and vibration isolated systems for cooling towers, closed circuit coolers and evaporative condensers.
Additionally, we have provided substantial certification services to Loren Cook and Greenheck for fan seismic certification. These programs included a very large range of types of fans in all mounting configurations.
