Nuclear Systems
Tobolski Watkins has been active in the testing and certification of systems for applications in nuclear facilities. This testing has been performed to IEEE, AC 156 and other project specific testing criteria. This testing includes not only seismic testing, but other testing to ensure adequate performance of systems under operational and extreme event loading.
Seismic testing has been performed on systems such as filter housings and valves. Testing of these systems requires more detailed consideration of boundary conditions to ensure appropriate loading is applied to the system.
In addition, while working at the Hanford Waste Treatment Plant, Dr. Watkins was involved in an extensive qualification program for post-installed concrete anchors.
